How might we guide our children to grow through this crisis?

The Covid-19 pandemic can be overwhelming for adults, let alone children. When can I stop wearing a mask? is a beautifully illustrated storybook that helps children make sense of this crisis and develop compassion for others.

Included in the book is an activity guide and links to learn more, so that you can guide your child to explore topics like protecting nature, healthy eating and empathising with the disadvantaged in our society.

Quick peek into this book...

Like most children, Jimmy wants to run and play freely. But he is getting tired of having to wear a mask whenever he goes out. “When can I stop wearing a mask?” he whines. So what does Jimmy’s mom do? Tell a story of course!

She traces how the Covid-19 virus jumped from animals to humans when we disrupted nature, and explains how our bodies normally deal with viruses and why this one is different. She then highlights some of the difficulties faced by people during the pandemic. Finally, she shows Jimmy what he can do to help.
